Our  Story

In 2016, long-term missionaries Michael, Sarah, and Eden Jones launched a program aimed at sharing the gospel by providing nutritious food, medical care, education, and clothing to infants and children in some of the most impoverished neighborhoods of Metro Manila, Philippines.

Their journey began when they met a one-year-old baby named Prince on the streets. At just 7 pounds, Prince was being fed only coffee and rice water by his parents, who were doing the best they could. After just two months in our program, Prince gained a healthy 15 pounds. Today, he’s thriving—healthy, full of joy, loves to color, excels in school, and attends church regularly. Prince continues to grow in the Portion program. He is just one of many children who share a similar story of hardship and hope.

When the Jones family returned to the United States, Ate Anna Alamodin took on the role of local director, continuing the mission to support children and families in need. Many of these children go without regular meals, and their mothers—facing limited access to education and resources—struggle to care for their families.

At Portion, we are committed to providing education, medical care, nutritious food, and—most importantly—the gospel to the families we serve. By partnering with us, you’re not just making a difference in their lives—you’re helping to change their stories by sharing a portion of what you have with those in the Philippines.
